Honors Convocation is an annual celebration where undergraduate students are recognized for their distinguished academic achievements. It is one of the University's most important academic traditions.
Join us online for the 98th Annual Honors Convocation Ceremony
Wednesday, March 31, 2021
8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
This year's convocation will explore the theme "Courageous Humility and the Changing Unknown."
We live in a world of increasing uncertainties, complicated further by the ever expanding reality of online intimacy. Our graduates are called to meet these challenges with courage, flexibility, discernment and humility. Solutions to the greatest challenges require everyone to learn and respect different life experiences and other points of view, and to reflect and explore the fallibility of our own beliefs. Being open to diverse perspectives means to embrace generosity and kindness to appreciate and trust everyone’s fundamental humanity, both locally and globally. Critical engagement with multiple voices gives us the opportunity to exercise a courageous humility, as we face the always changing realities and the unknown.
